Salary: up to £60k base (£100k+ OTE) uncapped

We’re genuinely excited to be working with this fast growth EdTech company on this important hire – this role has a clear and quick path to Head of Sales and then potentially Sales Director. You’ll be joining a small team (<10) who will be looking for their second round of funding shortly, they’ve exceeded expectations so far and are on course for big success. There’s a lot of excitement around their platform and the stats around the impact of it.
This is a ‘player/manager’ role and you’ll be expected to build the sales engine and be responsible for it’s success- part of the plan will see you hiring and then managing 3-5 sales people pretty quickly but the scope for growth beyond this is bigger, both in the UK and overseas – but depends, of course, on your success and results.
There are already lots of enquiries coming in, which are currently managed by one of the Founders – the company aren’t worried about a lack of inbound interest long term and have a Marketing Manager on the team already, generating this! Your role will be to take responsibility for these going forward and therefore the ability to close is one of the biggest parts of the criteria here – you’ll follow up leads, meet clients (online or face to face), run demos, explore the opportunity, negotiate and close – it can be quick to convert. Of course there’s so much more to the role around strategy, process, systems, hiring and leadership….but first things first….we need you to win business!

Has successfully built and led a sales team or has the potential to do so
